Potatoes are not usually described as weeds but they can be weedy, particularly where potato tubers are discarded. And the leaves of the potato are poisonous.

Identify the problem
Potato plants are herbaceous perennials that grow about 60 cm high, depending on variety. The leaves die back after flowering, fruiting and tuber formation. The tubers are the common potato used in cooking.
How to solve the problem
- Potato plants are usually easily dug out. It would be important to remove all tubers to stop new season's growth.
