Ladder Fern

Ladder fern will grow in the ground or on trees. It spreads by spores, runners and rubers forming dense, long-lived clumps.

Identify the problem
Ladder fern has ladder-like serrated fronds (leaves) and hairy tubers. It grows in a variety of conditions from damp to dry and on the ground or up trees.
How to solve the problem
- Spray entire colony of ladder fern with Weed Weapon Extra Strength concentrate made up with Dye & Stick or Weed Weapon Rapid Action ready to use. It is important that all parts of the ladder fern colony are sprayed so that all parts of the root system are effected by the systemic active ingredients.
- If ladder fern re-sprouts from the root, treat again.
- Or pull out, Leave on site to rot down. Dispose of tubers and runners as they may re-sprout.
