Weeds in Artificial Turf?
More and more homeowners are following the lead of amenity turf managers and installing artificial lawn turf. New artificial turf products are almost indistinguishable with good natural grass lawn, but they are very low maintenance.
Although there may not be any mowing required, weeds may still be an occasional problem. They pop up through the plastic grass from the substrate below and you can get many of the weeds found in traditional lawns growing in your artificial lawn.
However, control of the weeds in artificial turf is much simpler than in a living grass lawn; you do not need to use a selective lawn herbicide. Instead, you can safely spray with Weed Weapon Extra Strength or Weed Weapon Long Term. These will control broadleaf weeds and unwanted grass weeds emerging in the artificial turf. Weed Weapon Long Term will stop new weeds appearing in sprayed areas for several months.
For an organic option, Weed Weapon Natural Power can be used, and it will be quick to get rid moss, mould, algae and lichen, but a word of caution, that it may make the surfaces slippery for a while.
