NO Borer Helps Protect New Zealand's Historic Places
Kiwicare has supplied NO Borer products to many historic places for treatment of timbers during renovations.
The Canterbury earthquake damaged many historic buildings in the region. Some, like the beautiful old Terrace Station homestead in Horotata, are undergoing extensive repairs under the auspices of the Historic Places Trust. Repairs and renovations of old buildings affords the opportunity to access timbers and apply protective treatment against borer damage. Kiwicare has supplied NO BORER CONCENTRATE to several historic places for use during the repairs and renovations.
The Terrace Station Charitable Trust were advised to use NO Borer during their renovations. Trustee Kate Foster contacted Kiwicare we were happy to help. Kiwicare supports the great work of such trusts. It is vital that the history of New Zealand is preserved and places of history and beauty are maintained for this and future generations to enjoy and learn from.
Rakia Terrace Station was the homestead of Sir John Hall, a central figure in New Zealand's 19th century politics. He lead the parliamentary campaign for woman's suffrage which made New Zealand the first in which all men and women could vote. He became the 12th prime minister of New Zealand.
