NO Flies Bait

Summary

NO Flies Bait is a new formulation for the control of flies outdoors and in farm type buildings. The bait is highly attractive to a wide range of fly species including house flies, blow flies and biting flies like stable flies. Granular bait can be used in a bait station, on a tray, broadcast over hard surfaces or dissolved in water and painted on hard surfaces. The flies are attracted by food, feeding stimulant and fly sex pheromone. Flies feed on the bait and are rapidly killed.

Directions

As granular bait:

Sprinkle a layer of bait granules onto a tray or shallow container and place in an area where flies are to be controlled. Ensure the tray is fixed in place or is out of wind and protected from rain if possible. Flies are attracted to the bait, so place away from areas such as homes, decks and patios when these are in use. Place the bait out of reach of stock, pets and children.

As paint on walls:

Dissolve one part NO Flies Bait in one part warm water (~40°C). Mix until the granules are completely dissolved. Paint this solution on hard surfaces such as walls where flies congregate at the rate of 25g NO Flies Bait (plus 25ml water) to 10m2.

Application

Place NO Flies Bait around areas where flies are congregating; refuse bins, compost heaps, chicken houses, pig pens, kennels, farm buildings etc. Place out of the influence of wind and rain if possible. Wet bait will remain effective for several days but should be replaced as soon as possible.

The granules can be broadcast on hard surfaces only where stock, pets and non-target animals can be excluded.

The bait can be dissolved and painted on hard surfaces where flies congregate such as walls. As a paint the bait should remain effective for several weeks.

Important

Do not allow the bait or bait solution to contact food, food utensils or food preparation surfaces. Wash food contact areas before re-introducing foodstuffs.

Spills And Disposal

Wear protective clothing. Contain spill and absorb with Sand, Soil or absorbent granules.  Do not allow product or washings to enter the waterways or sewer.

Handling And Storage

Store in original container in a cool, dry ventilated place, away from direct heat or sunlight. Store away from foodstuffs, children and animals. Keep container sealed when not in use.
