To get rid of centipedes follow these steps:

Centipedes are not usually regarded as pests. However, many people find them repulsive and they occasionally wander inside from their normal habitat in the garden. Centipedes are hunters in the leaf litter and are often found below rocks or pots. They have flattened long bodies and can be distinguished from millipedes by having their legs out the the side of the their body while millipedes have their legs underneath their body.

Centipede means 'a hundred feet' but centipedes usually have only about thirty legs and feet.

There are giant centipedes in tropical countries that are big enough to hunt bats hanging from the roof of caves. They climb to the roof and dangle from hind feet waiting catch bats as they fly past.

Many centipedes in other countries are venomous and can cause considerable pain.

Centipedes are members of the subphylum myriapoda which includes the millipedes.
